Oracal UV Laminating Film – Oraguard 215

So far it is working well. I live in Pa and it seems to be holding up!

A friend gave me a sheet of this to sample and I fell in love with the texture. Prior to using Oraguard, I was using a roll of textured matte laminate, but hated how it made my stickers curl from being on a roll. So I made the switch to Oraguard sheets. I went though two packages before committing to a 100 pack. So I was quite disappointed when I recently noticed one of my stickers on my waterbottle had ink bleeds from water getting under the laminate. I have a much older sticker with the laminate I used prior to Oraguard and it's just fine, no bleeding or loss of clarity.

Then I noticed discoloration on some stickers that aren't moving as quickly as others. The letters are supposed to be white, but looked blurry and cream colored. It was so off I had to check my art file to see if I had altered the file by accident. But nope. Freshly made stickers show the white letters. Running a test right now to see how long it takes for the sticker to lose clarity.

This is no fault of Creative Craft Vinyl. I just wanted to share my experience. I'm sad that I sold so many stickers with this laminate while telling people they are waterproof, so I will need to decide whether to move forward with the old stuff and save this stuff for other projects where it may not matter.

I love the texture (which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1)! But sadly I will need to go back to the other brand for increased longevity and longterm clarity so I can confidently back my products.

I love this laminate! It goes on so easy and smooth over printable vinyl. You can also really lay on the squeegee to apply it. I've had a couple of stickers go through the dishwasher and come out looking the same. I wanna try the glossy next!

I'm a small business owner and am getting messages now saying the stickers have completely faded :-( It seems to only last for 3 months outside.
